OVERVIEW
Our Brand Amplification team is looking for a creative and innovative Social Media Manager to drive best-in-class engagement with our customers and further position Foot Locker as a trusted authority for sneakers. This role sits in our EU Corporate Headquarters in Vianen, Netherlands.

In this role you will lead and own the development of innovative social media strategies and programs to increase brand reach and consumer engagement across all social channels and platforms, managing multiple moving pieces to deliver a variety of content on a daily basis. You will work with our most trusted global brand partners, applying your project management expertise to ensure that creative campaigns are delivered on time. You will be at the forefront of new technologies and social trends making sure Foot Locker stays ahead of the curve and constantly innovating. You will also have the opportunity to create live content from events which you attend around Europe.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Define the overall social media strategy, translating brand marketing and company objectives into strong social media plans that increase reach, engagement, and brand affinity
Develop creative and innovation social media plans, based on a deep understanding of the consumer and the consumer journey
Ensure Social Media plans and calendars are aligned with seasonal marketing, product & business priorities
Ensure content is fully optimized across all relevant channels via tagging, linking and adopting new social media innovations and technology
Establish relevant KPIs and deploy adequate reporting systems to optimize campaign measurement, journey mapping and Brand Sentiment and Engagement monitoring
Lead and establish best practices for social analytics, assessing short and long term campaign effectiveness and analyzing competitive social performance
Ensure timely reports are issued and results are used as decision-making tool amongst the wider Marketing team
Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Merchandising, Tech and Customer Experience teams to deliver channel agnostic communications strategies
Be the resource and lead on key social media best practices, emerging trends, grow and maximize existing channels, bringing new media ideas and “test and learn” campaigns to the table
Lead agency and vendor relationships
Be fully versed on emerging social media platforms and champion the integration of new media channels and digital innovations
In collaboration with Customer Experience teams and Community Management agency, develop a long term strategy to tackle customer queries on social, utilizing available tools and allowing agency partners to focus on elevating engagement services, starting a direct relationship with our followers
QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in marketing, media or a related field
5+ years of relevant experience in retail, fashion or sports is required; youth brand experience is highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of the EU media landscape and social media channels
Digital-savvy and experienced with Instagram stories and live content creation
Strong project management, budget management and scheduling skills
Experience analyzing performance data to inform business decisions
Experience in building successful strategic relationships, both internally and externally
Proven leadership and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization
Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to travel up to 10%
Ability to manage issues or escalations that may require work outside of normal business hours
Management or mentorship experience preferred.
